Workshop

Bicycle Repairs, Servicing and Bike Fitting

We are an approved Shimano Service Centre and Specialized Body Geometry Fit Centre. Our technicians are qualified to service and repair bicycles, tandems and tricycles whether they have been bought from us or not. It is best to call us to book workshop time as this will ensure that we can have your bike back to you as swiftly as possible, usually the same day if booked in advance. A free estimate can be provided before any servicing work is carried out.

We would appreciate if at all possible that all cycles brought in for servicing are cleaned. Any cycle that is excessively dirty and requires our technicians to clean them may incur an extra charge. This is for the health and safety of our staff.

Our service menu explains what we can offer within each service category. If your requirements are more specific we will be happy to discuss your repair in detail.

Wheel Building - £40.00

We pride ourselves on building the very highest quality handbuilt wheels using the very best hubs, spokes and rims. We can build any kind of wheel, to any pattern with your choice of components.

We charge £40 per wheel for re - building wheels plus the cost of parts. We do not include a wheel building charge when you order a complete wheel so this can be a very economical way of ugrading and customising your bike.

Trueing Wheels - £10.00

Spokes break, crashes happen, spokes just get loose over time and wheels go out of true.

Let us give your wheels a tune up and we'll get them back running round and true.

Sometimes the crash has been too bad and no amount of skill will get your wheel back in shape or the nipples are corroded after salt ingress and adjustment is impossible. In these cases we will advise as to the best course of action.

But for the straightforward, "spoke and true", or "true and tension" its a very reasonable standard price plus any parts.

Puncture Repair - £10.00

It can be a daunting prospect taking a wheel out of a bike, unhooking brakes maybe having to deal with a multi geared rear wheel.

Let us do it for you and feel safe in the knowledge that not only will we replace the tube, we will also check the tyre for cuts, glass or thorns, realign the brakes and make sure the gears are still shifting sweetly when it all goes back together. And for an all in charge which includes the tube.

Suspension - £POA

We service suspension systems in house but we do not have the facility to recharge nitrogen cartridges which requires the unit to go back to the suspension service centre.

Bike Fitting

Body Geometry Bike Fitting - £130.00

Body Geometry is the most comprehensive system for connecting bike and rider through ergonomically designed and scientifically tested systematic customisation to improve power, endurance and comfort. Be the very best that you can by having your equipment and position tailored to you.

Take the Steps to Your Perfect Fit

Body Geometry Fit enables riders to maximise power, endurance, and comfort. During your personal Body Geometry Fit session, a trained specialist will assess your individual needs and systematically tailor your bike position and equipment to your body.

Body Geometry Fit is a five step process in which a trained specialist will assess your individual needs and tailor your equipment through product selection and customisation.

Interview

To start the process, a trained specialist will discuss your riding experience, goals and gain an in depth understanding of where you want to be on your bike. This will also involve an evaluation of your strength and flexibility.

Physical Assessment

An 18 step process is used to measure your current levels of flexibility and the individual make up of your body, the resulting data provides an in depth guide for your Fit technician to best specify your bike position, customisation and necessary equipment.

Ride Analysis

An in-situ visual assessment of your riding position, this allows your Fit specialist to adjust accordingly in order to determine the best and most efficient rider position for you.

Fitting

During this 15-step process, the Fit Specialist will personalise your bike position and equipment choice. In the end, saddle selection and position, shoes, footbeds, cleat position, and handlebar position are all optimised to your body.

Follow Up

At the conclusion of the process, the Fit Specialist will schedule a follow-up to review your adaptation to the new position, answer your questions, and provide guidance on how to get the most out of your ride.
