Bicycle Repairs, Servicing and Bike Fitting
We are an approved Shimano Service Centre and Specialized Body Geometry Fit Centre. Our technicians are qualified to service and repair bicycles, tandems and tricycles whether they have been bought from us or not. It is best to call us to book workshop time as this will ensure that we can have your bike back to you as swiftly as possible, usually the same day if booked in advance. A free estimate can be provided before any work is carried out.
We would appreciate if at all possible that all cycles brought in for servicing are cleaned. Any cycle that is excessively dirty and requires our technicians to clean them may incur an extra charge. This is for the health and safety of our staff.

Basic Service - £25.00
The basic service is often given as the bikes bi-annual service in between Full Services, to a bike that has not been used for a while or possibly rescued from the back of the garage after a lay off.
Includes:
- Checking and adjusting gears
- Checking all nuts and bolts
- Checking and adjusting bearings
- Checking and adjusting brakes
- Checking and truing wheels
- Checking and inflating tyres
- Lubrication applied where necessary
Full Service - £75.00
This level of servicing is normally applied to bicycles used on a daily basis, after a hard race season or at the same time as an annual shock or suspension fork service. It comes out of the workshop looking like a new bike. The cost of parts fitted during this service will be added to the labour charge.

- Stripping bike to bare frame, alignment checked, threads cleaned and checked
- Stripping and re-greasing all serviceable bearings

Wheel Building - £25.00
We pride ourselves on building the very highest quality handbuilt wheels using the very best hubs, spokes and rims. We can build any kind of wheel, to any pattern with your choice of components.
We charge £25 per wheel for re - building wheels plus the cost of parts. We do not include a wheel building charge when you order a complete wheel.
Trueing Wheels - £6.00
Spokes break, crashes happen, spokes just get loose over time and wheels go out of true.
Let us give your wheels a tune up and we'll get them back running round and true.
Sometimes the crash has been to bad and no amount of skill will get your wheel back in shape or the nipples are corroded and adjustment is impossible. In these cases we will advise as to the best course of action.
But for the straightforward, "spoke and true", or "true and tension" its a very reasonable standard price plus any parts.
Puncture Repair - £10.00
It can be a daunting prospect taking a wheel out of a bike, unhooking brakes maybe having to deal with a multi geared rear wheel.
Let us do it for you and feel safe in the knowledge that not only will we replace the tube, we will also check the tyre for cuts, glass or thorns, realign the brakes and make sure the gears are still shifting sweetly when it all goes back together. And for an all in charge which includes the tube.

Bike Fit
We are able to offer Specialized Body Geometry Fit in our dedicated bike fit area.
The BG FIT system from Specialized has been honed from more than 30 years of analysing thousands of cyclists, from humble commuters to pro-road and mountain bikers. It was developed by Dr Andy Pruitt, the director of the sports medicine programme for the United States Cycling Federation and American Olympic Cycling Team.
With almost 20 years of experience at the highest level of international cycling including Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Youth Commonwealth Games, World and European Championships for the Great Britain and England Cycling Teams, Dave is able to bring a unique perspective to his own training in the BG FIT system. A dedicated analysis and bike fit area has been set up in the road bike showroom, private enough, yet accessible, to allow all to feel comfortable. BG FIT is by appointment on week day mornings only.
Please allow up to 3 hours for a full consultation and bike fitting. You will need to bring your bike, tight fitting cycling kit and shoes. Please ensure that your bike and shoes are clean and that the seat post, saddle clamp, stem and cleat bolts can be adjusted easily. You will be riding on a home trainer so a towel may be useful. We have a large changing room, toilet and washroom.
